Assistant directors have been, over time in alphabetical order: Antonia Alampi, Daniela Cascella, Alexandra Corradini, Dobrila Denegri, Francesco Diaz, Tiziana Di Caro, Giulia Di Costanzo, Laura Giorgini, Veronica He, Pia Lauro, Elena Giulia Rossi, Valerio Santoro, Chiara Vigliotti.

The Cultural Association Mantellate – STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI is based in Rome in a former industrial space in Trastevere, a historical district of the city. Since 1990 this space was used to give the opportunity to Italian and international artists to exhibitions, installations and performances specially created for the city of Rome.

STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI has been engaged for several years in revitalizing the contemporary national scene by inviting artists to exhibit and realize site specific works in public and private spaces, not only in Rome. Thanks to these projects, many international artists linked to the experiences of the ’60s and ’70s avant-garde movements have exhibited their works in Rome.

Artists such as Marina Abramovic, Yoko Ono, Alfredo Jaar, Ben Vautier, ORLAN, Wolf Vostell, Maria Lai, Nancy Spero, Leon Golub, Hermann Nitsch, Bizhan Bassiri, Valie Export, Michal Rovner, Michele Oka Doner, Gianni Piacentino, Doris Bloom, William Kentridge, Victoria Vesna, Spencer Tunick and many other contemporary artists have been involved in several initiatives by creating original interventions, exhibitions and projects for STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI.

With the same enthusiasm, STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI has promoted projects, exhibitions and events featuring Italian artists, in Italy and abroad, among which are Paolo Canevari, Alberto Di Fabio, Bruna Esposito, Manuela Filiaci, Silvia GiambroneGiancarlo Neri, Maurizio Pellegrin, Fiorella Rizzo,Gian Domenico Sozzi, Adrian Tranquilli, Giorgio Vigna,

Many exhibitions have been documented by catalogues produced by STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI, featuring original texts by the artists, alongside critical writings of art historians and curators such as, among others, Achille Bonito Oliva, Dobrila Denegri, Alessandra Mammì, Cristiana Perrella, Fernanda Pivano, Federica Di Castro, Barbara Tosi, Ester Coen, Ida Magli, Vittorio Fagone, Mario Codognato, Mario Perniola, and Ida Panicelli.
Several editorial projects were realized in collaboration with publishing houses such as Charta, CURA. NERO Editions. 

STUDIO STEFANIA MISCETTI often cooperates with institutions, foreign embassies and art academies to promote the initiatives and events.

In 2020, Stefania Miscetti donated the Studio’s historical archive to the National Gallery in Rome, thanks to the fruitful welcome of the director Cristiana Collu and all the officials, in particular Claudia Palma and Massimo Mininni.
