Studio Stefania Miscetti is pleased to present the exhibition A Band A Part:

Sheets, sketch boards, finds, paintings and videos…a journey in which a six-handed-look faces radical territories, visionary launching pads hovering between the impossible and the acceptable. A path with no dogmas, a path seeking artistic invasion in the most exquisite and refined comics. Parallelly it inquiries into the slow spreading of some fantastic imaginaries of contemporary art. Three experts made an attentive selection of ten or so artists proposing you a trip-exhibition of free hints and attractive visionary suggestions.

Each of the three gives something to the program: Enrico Fornaroli gives his ability in comic-strips, Gianluca Marziani, kin of pop-art, gives a critical contribution, Giancarlo Soldi offers his quite filmic competence and provides materials that stand in between collecting and surprising(one in particular is a video-book of seductive magic). Together they created a voluntary wavy flow in which art and drawing’s fine taste, illustration’s unchained sensuality and comic-strips’ papery sexuality are all winded up into an overunning ball. Dangerous relationships, perverse exchanges, traffic-congested cross roads: the contemporary image thinks new visions, draws them with appropriate manners. Contaminated artists, anomalous illustrators, painting-brained comic-strip artists, different ways of drawing in transversal methods of the act of seeing. Images that create visions, escapes, overrunning vagaries.
